Zinc Oxide: Offers protection against UV rays and soothes inflammation. It possesses anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce redness and swelling associated with acne lesions. Additionally, Zinc Oxide has antimicrobial properties, which means it can help combat the bacteria that contribute to acne development. Moreover, Zinc Oxide can aid in regulating sebum production, thus helping to prevent pore blockages and the formation of new acne lesions.

Niacinamide: Also known as Vitamin B3, it helps improve skin texture, reduce pore size, and brighten the complexion. It helps to regulate sebum production, which can reduce the likelihood of clogged pores and acne formation. Additionally, it has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help calm redness and irritation associated with acne. Furthermore, Niacinamide can also assist in fading post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), which are the dark marks left behind after acne lesions heal.

Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, and Asiatic Acid: Compounds found in Centella Asiatica extract that help promote wound healing and soothe inflammation.

Sulfur: Has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it effective in treating acne and reducing inflammation.

Medicinal botanicals

Bacillus/Centella Asiatica Extract Ferment Filtrate: Derived from Centella Asiatica, it helps soothe and repair the skin barrier, and promote skin regeneration

Zinc oxide is known for its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and soothing properties. It is gentle and non-irritating to sensitive scar tissue, allowing scars to mature without added damage.

According to a publication in the Annals of Burns and Fire Disasters, a 2006 study found zinc to be beneficial when applied after a burn and helped skin to heal faster. Additionally, zinc oxide not only improves wound healing but also can help to reduce the appearance of abnormal scars, such as keloids. Keloids form due to excess collagen production during the wound healing process, which results in a raised, discolored scar.

An article published in the journal Dermatology Research and Practice reports that the beneficial effect of topical zinc in the treatment of keloids has been attributed to two characteristics. It has the ability to inhibit lysyl oxidase and stimulate collagenase which leads to decreased production and increased degradation of collagen.

Clinical Trails

After using Ciracle acne products for four weeks, a clinical trials was conducted to assess the improvement in sebum, non-inflammatory acne (such as whiteheads), and inflammatory acne.

The results showed a reduction of 11.4% in facial sebum secretion, and blackheads and whiteheads decreased by 8.4% and 4.1%, respectively. Inflammatory acne, such as pustules, demonstrated an improvement effect of approximately 13.2%.
